It contains a spectrum of every natural antioxidant known, including: the antioxidant vitamins B-1 and B-6; the minerals zinc, manganese and copper; the amino acid methionine; and the super-antioxidants beta-carotene, vitamin E and trace element selenium.

Spirulina is also nature’s richest whole-food source of Gamma Linolenic Acid (GLA). Its oils are 3 times richer in GLA than evening primrose oil. Studies have indicated that GLA helps lower blood cholesterol and high blood pressure and eases such conditions as arthritis, premenstrual pain, eczema and other skin conditions.

The combination of Spirulina and Barley grass separates MultiGreens from other green supplements, but that is not why Young Living’s MultiGreens is the super supplement of green food supplements. What makes MultiGreens so special is Essential Oils!

Clinical experience has shown that before putting essential oils in MultiGreens, there was a 42% blood absorption in 24 hours. After adding essential oils to MultiGreens, blood absorption increased to 64% in 30 minutes and 86% in one hour. The conclusion is that the cells were now receiving nutrients that they had previously not been able to assimilate. (Essential Oils Desk Reference, 6th Edition, p. 267)

Young Living’s MultiGreens is the only super “green food” supplement containing the essential oils of Melissa, Lemon, Lemongrass and Rosemary. There is simply no other product that can compare itself to MultiGreens on the market today.

Experience with MultiGreens
“I just wanted to put in my 2 cents on MultiGreens…
Being in the natural healing field for nearly 30 years, I’ve seen hundreds, and probably thousands of different products. MultiGreens is my favorite of all of them. Why? I take 3 – 5 MultiGreens every morning, and sometimes again in the afternoon (when I remember) and I have the most amazing stamina level all day…

I just hate those “zippy” products that rev you up, and then drop you down. MultiGreens just makes me feel productive all day, and I never get that fatigued feeling…

And guess what! My friend, Linda told me several months ago that she’s been taking MultiGreens every night for a better night’s sleep! That was a surprise because I would have thought it would keep her up. So I tried it, now I take 1 – 3 every night before I go to bed, and I swear, it has improved my sleep, and I think it has even enhanced my dreaming.” — Vicki Opfer

lemonLemon oil is a favorite among Young Living Distributors. Citrus oils are extracted by cold pressing the rind of the fruit. It takes about 75 lemons to make one 15-ml bottle of Lemon essential oil

Lemon oil is known to have powerful cleaning properties which make it wonderful for use in your home, particularly the kitchen and bathroom. I often add a few drops of lemon oil to cleaning solutions for extra cleaning properties. Mix a drop in a teaspoon of water & wipe the kitchen counter and cutting boards. It makes the kitchen smell fresh too.

Add lemon oil to a spray bottle of water and spray surfaces in the bathroom and anywhere else you want to clean or deodorize. It also sanitizes the bathroom fixtures. It is great for diffusing to purify and deodorize the air. If you don’t have a cold diffuser, add a few drops of oil in a spray mister bottle with water and mist the air.

Using 1-2 drops of Lemon oil works well in removing gum, oil and grease spots.

Experiences With Lemon Oil:

I love using Lemon Oil on the vinyl floor in the bathroom it takes all the scuff marks off with no effort. I use Lemon Oil to clean everything in the bathroom, and then I run some very hot water in the sink, put the stopper in the drain and plop a few drops of Peppermint Oil in the water. I swish it around, and the aroma fills the room, I let the water run out of the sink and the next few times that people wash their hands, and run hot water into the sink, it smells great! — Deirdre

I thought that lemon might do the trick given something that happened recently that I’ve been meaning to post.

We have a Wok that we use pretty regularly. One night a few months ago, the person who was supposed to do dishes (not me..lol) decided to let the dishes sit till the next morning. We awoke to find the Wok basically unusable since the oil had hardened to a point that no amount of scrubbing would get it off. I’m sure all you cooks know of what I speak.

We tried many times…soaking and scrubbing and nothing worked.

Last week…we used the Wok the way it was and I was cleaning it. As per usual, I add a couple drops of lemon oil to my dish water and noticed something odd happening to the Wok. So I added a couple more drops of Lemon oil to the Wok to be sure.

AND…without putting any muscle into it…the hardened oil had started coming off. I kept scrubbing and wiping and it all came off in a few minutes. I was amazed and glad I didn’t have to buy a new Wok!! — Lauren

Got another one for using Lemon oil also. After reading Peggy’s testimony about removing the double sticky tape it reminded me of it. My youngest son had fallen asleep with gum in his mouth. Anyway, the next morning it was in his hair… There were about 3 good spots that it was really a mess. I snipped out a little of it with scissors and then got out my Lemon oil. Put a drop on my fingers and rubbed them together with the gummy hair between them. WOW! Came right out! Didn’t take a whole lot either. I’ve also used Lemon oil to remove gum from clothes. Wish Lemon oil came in BULK size!! LOL!! — Lori

More and more people are looking to natural health products as a way to support a healthy body. We are all interested in preserving our health. We try to eat right, get plenty of rest and exercise and use natural health supplements. With all our efforts on natural health, many times people overlook one area of health that can be a serious hazard to their health.

Products that your family use every day contain ingredients that studies have linked to serious health issues.

WHAT YOU DON’T KNOW CAN HURT YOU!

The solution is as simple as reading the labels on your personal care products and replacing them with safe ones.

One of the worst and most widespread of these dangerous ingredients is sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS). SLS is absorbed through the skin and retained in the brain, heart and liver. Studies show that SLS also affects other areas in the body, such as your child’s still developing eyes. SLS has been shown to retard the proper development of eye tissues, cause cataracts, slow the healing of other eye problems and even cause blindness. SLS doesn’t even have to get in the eyes to cause eye damage. It does as much harm when it is absorbed through the skin.

Many so called “natural” products also have SLS as an ingredient. They may have a label that says, “100% natural ingredients.” Just because it says natural, doesn’t mean it’s good to put on your body. Poison ivy is natural, but I sure don’t want that on my skin.

The intended use of SLS is as an ingredient car wash soaps, engine degreaser and garage floor cleaner.

According to the Material Safety Data Sheet for SLS, exposure can lead to a burning sensation, coughing, wheezing, laryngitis, shortness of breath, headache, nausea and vomiting. It also specifically warns that SLS may be harmful if absorbed through the skin and that prolonged or repeated exposure should be avoided.
(The federal government requires a Material Safety Data Sheet for any hazardous chemical.)

Whenever I write an article on toxic ingredients in personal care, I always get a few people emailing me with why I am wrong about ingredients in shampoo. Let me ask you, if sodium lauryl sulfate is so safe, why does the Material Safety Data Sheet say to wear rubber suit, goggles and gloves when handling? Why all the warnings about liver damage and a long list of other issues?

The dangers of SLS are no secret to the medical community. In fact SLS is used as a skin irritant in medical labs. Scientists use it to purposely harm the skin in order to test healing agents.

Sodium lauryl sulfate is used in most shampoos and toothpaste. Go to the grocery store and try to find shampoo or toothpaste that does not have sodium lauryl sulfate or sodium laureth sulfate in it.

Does your toothpaste have this FDA required poison warning label?

“Keep out of the reach of children under 6 years of age. If you accidentally swallow more than used for brushing, seek professional assistance or contact a poison control center immediately.”

You may have to search to find the warning because the companies try to hide it under the ingredients list. The warning may be on the box which you throw away and didn’t even notice it.

Did you know that the fastest way into the bloodstream is under the tongue? Nutrients as well as poison can be absorbed directly into the bloodstream through the dense network of blood vessels lining the mucous membrane of the mouth.

According to the PHYSICIANS DESK REFERENCE MANUAL, oral delivery is 10 times more efficient than anything that is swallowed. This is because ingredients enter the blood stream directly and are not filtered and broken down by the liver and digestive organs.

Do you really want poisons in the products you & your family use?

Besides the sodium lauryl sulfate, there is enough fluoride in a 4 oz tube of most brands of toothpaste to kill a small child. What’s worse is that scientists are now linking fluoride to dental deformity, arthritis and allergic reactions.

Another ingredient to avoid – propylene glycol, is found in most moisturizers and is commonly used as a humectant (additive to keep products moist) & a preservative. It sounds innocent enough but did you know it’s also a main ingredient in antifreeze, brake fluid, deicers, latex paint and laundry detergent?

It is supposed to make the skin feel smooth. While it may appear to moisturize the skin’s surface, it actually steals moisture from the under layers of the skin.

Propylene glycol is not only ineffective, it’s dangerous. It is derived from petroleum products.

The Material Safety Data Sheets on propylene glycol – warns against contact with eyes, skin and clothing. It also says inhalation can cause irritation of nasal passages. Ingestion can cause nausea, vomiting and diarrhea. Over exposure to propylene glycol can cause liver abnormalities and kidney damage.

Did You Know?

Over 800 of the chemicals available for use in cosmetics have been reported to the government as harsh chemical substances. – The National Institute of Occupational Safety & Health

There are safe products out there. Young Living has a line of safe personal care products without the harsh chemicals, but added benefit of essential oils.

back to school essential oilsIt’s that time of year again. The kids are heading off to school. With that comes more exposure to whatever will be going around this season. That is one reason I always have Thieves essential oil blend with me as well as all the Thieves products.

Thieves Oil Blend was created from research about four thieves during the 15th-century covered themselves with cloves, rosemary, and other aromatics while robbing the dead and dying. Thieves is one oil that is wonderful for diffusing.

NingXia Red is a powerful antioxidant drink that contains whole Ningxia wolfberry puree and a super blend of blueberry, aronia, cherry, pomegranate, and plum juices, natural stevia extract, grape seed extract, vanilla extract, and orange, yuzu, lemon, and tangerine essential oils. Its health benefits include support from head to toe, via a whole body nutrient infusion.

There is often anxiety on returning to school at the beginning of a new year. There are always many changes: New teachers, new classes, peer pressure, worries about fitting in, bullies, studying for tests, and the list goes on.

The next three oils may be helpful to ease the stress of going back to school.

Stress Away Roll-On – This unique blend of vanilla, lime, copaiba, and other essential oils relieves daily stress, encourages relaxation, and reduces nervous tension. This oil can be used in the morning before heading off to school or after school to unwind from a stressful day. Apply generously to wrists, temples, neck, or any desired area as needed.

Peace & Calming is a gentle, fragrant blend specially designed for diffusing. It promotes relaxation and a deep sense of peace, helping to calm tensions and uplift spirits. When massaged on the bottoms of the feet, it can be a wonderful prelude to a peaceful night’s rest. This is important for kids in school.

Brain Power is especially designed essential oil blend rich in sesquiterpenes. Use it to clarify thought and support concentration. Apply over the back of the neck, on the temples, on the soles of the feet, and under the tongue.

Valor helps balance electrical energies within the body, giving you courage, confidence, and self-esteem. It has also been found to help the body self-correct its balance and alignment.
How to use: Apply on bottoms of feet and to throat, wrists, chest, and the base of the neck. When using a series of oils, such as in Raindrop Technique, apply Valor first and let it work for five to ten minutes before applying other oils.

Clarity promotes a clear mind and alertness. The rosemary and peppermint found in this blend have been used for years for mental activity and vitality. Dr. William N. Dember of the University of Cincinnati discovered in a research study that inhaling peppermint oil increased the mental accuracy of the students he tested by 28 percent.
Clarity is one oil I like to use when I am writing. It helps me think clearly so

Cedarwood – contains the highest level of sesquiterpines. When inhaled, sesquiterpines have the ability to cross the blood-brain barrier, after which they can provide more oxygen to the brain! Place Cedarwood on your thumb and the roof of your mouth to release blocks to learning!

Peppermint – Diffuse Peppermint oil in the room while studying to improve concentration and accuracy. Inhale Peppermint oil while taking a test to improve recall.

Joy – This oil is very mood uplifting. If the children are feeling bummed out because the summer is over and they have to get back into the grind of the school schedule, Joy oil may be helpful in lifting their spirits.

Motivation may enable a person to surmount fear and procrastination and stimulate feelings of moving forward to accomplish new things. This is always a good one when starting a new school year or any other project.
