Stress is a normal part of our modern life. We live in a fast paced high stress world. Our modern lifestyles add more daily stress than our bodies are made to handle. Studies have shown that modern, everyday stresses, if left unchecked, can negatively impact our health.

There are also times when we go through times of higher levels of stress. We need ways to relieve every day stress but even more so when we are going through times of higher levels of stress. Essential oils can be one way to help with that. Young Living has many wonderful oils for this purpose. You may have some on hand. Whatever your favorite calming oils you have, you can use them topically, diffuse or with EFT. More on EFT at the bottom of this post.

Any of these oils can be used with EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques. Just add a couple drops of essential oil to your fingertips before you begin tapping through the points.

Tap While You Gripe is one of my favorite ways to use Emotional Freedom Techniques. It is a super simple technique. Just tap and tell the story. Focus on the negative feelings and tap and talk it through.

Example: While tapping through the points, say: “I am so stressed. We are stuck at home. We are under a stay at home order and the kids are driving me crazy! This is so scary! ….” Tap through the points and pour out your feelings. Keep going until you feel better. Once you have released enough of the negative feelings, switch to positive. End with some thoughts on strength and confidence or anything positive you want to feel.

Don’t get too worried about the exact wording you use or what order of points to tap. You don’t even really need to say the words out loud. Just focus on the negative emotion you want to clear. Keep talking and tapping.

A lot of people struggle with weight management. It’s so easy to grab a tasty snack when you have a stressful or busy day, but that doesn’t help you reach those goals. This is the time of year people set goals to make changes like exercise more, eat healthier and drop a few pounds.

Emotional Freedom Techniques or EFT along with essential oils can be a support when you are working on fitness and weight management goals. Emotional Freedom Techniques is a form of psychological acupressure. With EFT you are tapping on various acupuncture meridian points while you focus on a negative issue you would like to change. Add a couple drops of essential oils to your fingertips before you begin tapping through the points and EFT is even more amazing.

There are times when you have had a high stress day and are at risk for emotional eating and snacking. Sometimes it helps to talk it over with someone. Talking and venting your feelings can be helpful. Why not try tapping while you are talking or THINKING about the issue that is bothering you. Just tap and tell the story. You can talk to a real person or pretend there is someone you are talking to.

Don’t get too worried about the exact wording you use or what order of points to tap. You don’t even need to say the words out loud. Just focus on the negative emotion you want to clear. Keep talking or thinking and tapping.

I use the Tap While You Gripe technique all the time, especially if I am really upset about something but I don’t know where to start. When you start tapping and talking, things will come to mind. Just keep tapping and expressing anything you are feeling until you have poured it all out. Focus on whatever you want to say about the negative, then SHIFT to the positive side. What you WANT.

Here are a few oils and ideas for supporting fitness goals:

Stress Away – This one is great for calming after a stressful, hectic, busy day. Put Stress Away on fingertips and start tapping about why you feel stressed. Sometimes I just tap about the desire to have a carby snack. “I know I want some chips but I know it’s not really going to help. . . ” Keep going with whatever you feel until the desire passes.

Peace & Calming – Another great one for calming after a stressful day.

Release – This one is good for releasing anger. If someone makes you angry or irritated, tapping with Release essential oil blend can help you release the anger or irritation of whatever it was that happened. Some days you just feel angry and don’t really know why. Put release on your fingertips and tap through the points saying, “I’m feeling angry (or irritated, annoyed or whatever). I choose to release the anger. I am releasing this anger. . . ” If you know the specific reason why you are feeling angry, tap on that first, then, tap while saying “I am releasing this anger. . . ” Use whatever negative emotion you want to release.

Motivation – Motivation oil blend is another one of my favorites. Just as the name implies, it energizes and motivates. I love this oil whenever I am having trouble getting motivated to do any task. Motivation oil is wonderful before exercise but also on days when you don’t feel motivated to stick to healthy eating habits.

Using Motivation oil and EFT For lack of motivation when you are not motivated to exercise. You could start tapping and say: “I am not motivated to exercise but I know I will feel great after I do it. . .” OR “I am not motivated to eat healthy today but I know I will feel better if I stick to my plan. . .”

Acceptance – This oil blend encourages feelings of self-worth and acceptance. This can feel difficult because we tend to beat up on ourselves when there are extra pounds we are wanting to release. You might be thinking, “I don’t like these extra pounds and I don’t want to accept them.” Accepting is not does not mean you want to keep the pounds. It just means that you love and accept yourself enough to take really GOOD care of your body and show it the love it deserves.

First, before you can really make changes, it is important to accept yourself and know you are worthy of success in whatever you goal you are working toward. Accept and love yourself enough to take better care of yourself through the process of getting to the goal.

Transformation – This is a good oil for focusing on the changes you want to make. Visualize yourself moving forward and reaching your goal. Focus on the positive thing you are working toward and see yourself achieving it.

Envision – Same thing! Focus on the changes you want to make. Visualize yourself already successful and doing the things that cause success. Focus on the positive thing you are working toward and SEE yourself achieving it.
Daily visualization is really important for achieving your goals. You need to see it in your mind’s eye to be able to achieve it.
Use Envision along with visualization. You can also use the Tap While You Visualize technique. Just close your eyes and think visualize reaching your goal. Get as detailed as possible in your thinking. Tap through the EFT points while you are visualizing.

There are other essential oil blends that would also be helpful. If an oil or oil blend feels right for whatever your situation at the moment, go with it. 😉

EFT Points


Many people like to start off the new year by setting resolutions to make changes like losing weight, exercising more, eat healthier, stop smoking, start improving their financial situation by removing debt or building a business or a number of other things.


There are many oils that are helpful for making changes in your life. There are many good essential oil blends that are good to help you in the process of working toward goals and resolutions. Actually, I don’t really like New Year’s Resolutions. People usually don’t take those seriously, however, I am a firm believer in setting goals and making action plans to achieve those goals.


Essential oils are very useful to help focus your energy and intent. To make that even more powerful, why not use essential oils along with EFT to really power up your focus and intent as you are working toward your goal. EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) is a powerful tool in making changes and removing negative things that block your success.


Essential Oils - Motivation, Transformation and Release With EFT for Goals and Resolutions

When you are using oils with EFT, you just add 2 or 3 drops of oil to your fingertips before you begin tapping through the EFT points.


Motivation: This is one of my favorite oil blends for help getting moving. Motivation oil can help you overcome negativity and procrastination, so you can move past old patterns and reach your goals.


Using Motivation oil and EFT For lack of motivation when you are not motivated to exercise. For that, You could use a setup phrase like: “Even though I am not motivated to exercise, I deeply love and accept myself.” Then tap through the points. It doesn’t matter which points you tap on. Just tap through the points while focusing on the words. You can add your own words too.


Use Release essential oil blend when you want to release any negative emotion or limitations.

Use Transformation essential oil blend when you finish tapping through the clearing and feel ready to move forward. Focus on the positive thing you are working toward and see yourself achieving it.

Here’s and EFT Script to help you get motivated:


Apply 1 – 3 drops of Release oil on your fingertips, then tap on the Karate Chop Point with the oiled up fingertips. As you are tapping the EFT Points, you will have enough remaining oil to carry to all the other points.


Reaching Goals with Essential Oils and EFT
While tapping the Karate Chop Point, Repeat 3 Times:


Even though I have been feeling unmotivated, I deeply and completely love and accept myself.
Even though I don’t feel like doing anything, I deeply and completely love and accept myself.

Another school year is about to begin. That can be a very stressful time for children. Even children who love school can feel stressed out, especially with the beginning of a new school year.

I am getting pretty old but I still remember some of the stresses I had with school.

New class schedule
Getting on the right bus
Feeling shy

EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) is a powerful way you can help release some of the stress in almost any situation. I love adding essential oils to the tapping. Back to School Tapping Script


Here is a tapping script that focuses on starting the new school year, to get you started. Sit down with your child before school and tap through a few times. Add anything that you know your child is worried about or feeling stressed about. This is just a guideline. Add any other words that apply to the feelings your child is having.

While tapping the Karate Chop Point, Repeat 3 Times:

Even though I feel am feeling stressed about going back to school, I love and accept myself as I am.
Even though I am really nervous about starting the new school year, I love and accept myself as I am.
Even though I am really stressed, I deeply and completely love and accept myself.

Now, start tapping through the points, starting at the eyebrow point.
First through all the negative emotions: (Stress Away oil blend)

I am feeling really stressed about school.
What if I can’t get to my classes on time?
What if I miss the bus?
What if I make a mistake?
What if the other kids don’t like me?
What if someone makes fun of me?
I hate that some kids are bullies.
Sometimes I don’t feel like I fit in.

Valor essential oil blend from Young Living is one of my favorite oils. I use it every day with EFT. This week I had to make a trip to the dentist office which is something I have avoided like the plague. To say the dentist terrifies me is a gross understatement. Sometimes we have to face our fears. I broke the crown of a really old root canal and it needed to be fixed. It turned out that the remaining part was split so badly that the tooth couldn’t be saved and I had to have it surgically removed.


EFT and Valor Essential OilTime to put Valor Oil and EFT to the test. All I can say is WOW! I used Valor along with two EFT audio sessions I had bought from Brad Yates quite some time ago.
