As you get older you may notice your skin isn’t as plump and as youthful as it used to be. It doesn’t bounce back and it may be sagging a bit. The skin looks like it is thinning and wrinkles are showing up.

Collagen is a structural building block for healthy skin, nails, bones, joints, tendons, and other connective tissues. Around 70% of your skin is made from collagen. Collagen is what makes your complexion firm, plump, and youthful, which is why it is so important in anti-aging efforts. It’s never too early to start supporting collagen production.

Vitamin C is one of the most important nutrients for supporting collagen. Young Living has 2 kinds of Super C. Vitamin C is one of the most important vitamins required by our bodies. The ingredients in Super C play a role in normal immune and circulatory functions, help to strengthen connective tissues, and promote overall health, vitality, and longevity. Because our bodies cannot manufacture vitamin C, we can benefit by consuming this powerful antioxidant daily.

Super C Chewable combines premium grade Orange essential oil with a proprietary blend of camu camu, acerola, cherry, and rose hips fruit powder to create a powerful immune-supporting supplement. Together, these premium ingredients deliver desirable polyphenols, carotenoids, and optimal amounts of vitamin C in a convenient chewable tablet.

Young Living Skin Care Products

You’ve got a date night planned with your sweetie and it’s going to be a romantic dinner and a little love and snuggling. Sometimes getting in the mood can be a challenge, especially when you have had a busy or stressful day. Some days you just want to curl up under a blanket and watch a movie or read a book. That’s when I like to grab a few of my favorite essential oils to get in the mood. 😉

One thing that always makes me feel sexy is fragrance. Long before I started using essential oils I loved fragrance to feel sexy. I used bath products and perfumes. Back then I didn’t know how many harsh chemicals are in most of the personal care products on the market.

I am grateful that, over 22 years ago, I learned about essential oils. They are way better for shifting the mood than those products with harsh chemicals that are known to cause headaches, rashes, sinus issues and more. Day by day these harsh chemicals of concern are undermining our health, and working against any actions we take to improve health.

Anyway …
Essential Oils to Set the Mood For Romance
When I am needing a bit of a lift I like to start with Rose essential oil. I call Rose oil the “BIG GUNS”. There is just no way you can smell this oil, and have a bad day. Young Living rose oil is nothing like anything you have ever smelled before. It is NOT the sweet smell you expect after smelling cheap oils. It has a rich, intense smell to it. It doesn’t really smell like fresh roses to me, because it is so concentrated and potent. Rose oil has the highest frequency of any measured oil – 350 megahertz, provided that it has been distilled properly and not adulterated.

One drop in a little carrier oil is wonderful. Add a drop of oil to your favorite recipes for romance.

I like to add a couple drops of Rose oil to Young Living’s Joy essential oil blend. I love that combination.

One oil that REALLY gets me going is when my husband wears Young Living’s Shutran. Just smelling it on him, OH MY!

Lady Sclareol is an oil blend that you can apply to your neck and wrists to wear as a perfume or mix with a carrier oil to add a warm sexy bath.

Ylang Ylang and Jasmine oils are two oils I like to wear as perfume and add to all kinds of romantic recipes. Both Ylang Ylang and Jasmine are very sexy smelling oils.

Ylang Ylang is steam distilled from flowers of trees grown in Ecuador and Madagascar, Ylang Ylang essential oil has a sweet, fruity aroma that is the perfect complement to any romantic or relaxing evening. Its moisturizing properties make it a key ingredient in many luxury skin and hair products. Ylang Ylang is often classified as a “heart” note in blends because it emerges just as the top notes begin to dissipate.

Help moisturize skin and enhance the appearance of healthy looking skin by adding a few drops of Ylang Ylang to your favorite skin care products.

Make a linen spray to set the mood for a romantic evening by combining 5 drops of Ylang Ylang with water and witch hazel in a glass spray bottle.

Wear Ylang Ylang calming and relaxing perfume. Apply it over your heart or on your wrists. Rub it onto your palms, cup your hands over your nose, and inhale deeply to inspire feelings of serenity and joy.

Massage it into your scalp to increase the appearance of healthy, shiny hair. Add a couple drops of Ylang Ylang to coconut oil for a deep conditioning hair treatment that will nourish your and scalp and support the appearance of healthy, shiny hair while leaving it smelling floral and sweet.

Create a spa-like experience by putting a few drops of Ylang Ylang into a hot bath to unwind after a long day.

I also like to make my own personal lubricant with a bit of coconut oil and a couple drops of Mister. I discovered that one by accident when I was out of Dragon Time Massage oil.

You could make up a personal lubricant with 1 oz of coconut oil, 5 drops of Sensation, 2 drops of Black Pepper and 2 drops of Peppermint. Sensation oil blend helps to create a romantic mood, while Black Pepper and Peppermint provide a warm/cool sensation.

Experiment with combinations to find what you personally like. Just, please don’t use petrochemical lubricants.

Essential Oils For Romance - Ylang Ylang
Sensual Massage
Many of these oils can be used with a sensual massage. Choose whatever oils you prefer and add them to coconut oil or other carrier oil that is free of harmful chemicals.
Clary Sage and Ylang Ylang or Sensation with a few drops of coconut oil for a sensual massage oil. Apply to the VitaFlex points on the feet, ankles and lower abdomen.

Many people like to start off the new year by setting resolutions to make changes like losing weight, exercising more, eat healthier, stop smoking, start improving their financial situation by removing debt or building a business or a number of other things.

There are many oils that are helpful for making changes in your life. There are many good essential oil blends that are good to help you in the process of working toward goals and resolutions. Actually, I don’t really like New Year’s Resolutions. People usually don’t take those seriously, however, I am a firm believer in setting goals and making action plans to achieve those goals.

Essential oils are very useful to help focus your energy and intent. To make that even more powerful, why not use essential oils along with EFT to really power up your focus and intent as you are working toward your goal. EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) is a powerful tool in making changes and removing negative things that block your success.

Essential Oils - Motivation, Transformation and Release With EFT for Goals and Resolutions

When you are using oils with EFT, you just add 2 or 3 drops of oil to your fingertips before you begin tapping through the EFT points.

Motivation: This is one of my favorite oil blends for help getting moving. Motivation oil can help you overcome negativity and procrastination, so you can move past old patterns and reach your goals.

Using Motivation oil and EFT For lack of motivation when you are not motivated to exercise. For that, You could use a setup phrase like: “Even though I am not motivated to exercise, I deeply love and accept myself.” Then tap through the points. It doesn’t matter which points you tap on. Just tap through the points while focusing on the words. You can add your own words too.

Use Release essential oil blend when you want to release any negative emotion or limitations.

Use Transformation essential oil blend when you finish tapping through the clearing and feel ready to move forward. Focus on the positive thing you are working toward and see yourself achieving it.

Here’s and EFT Script to help you get motivated:

Apply 1 – 3 drops of Release oil on your fingertips, then tap on the Karate Chop Point with the oiled up fingertips. As you are tapping the EFT Points, you will have enough remaining oil to carry to all the other points.

Reaching Goals with Essential Oils and EFT
While tapping the Karate Chop Point, Repeat 3 Times:

Even though I have been feeling unmotivated, I deeply and completely love and accept myself.
Even though I don’t feel like doing anything, I deeply and completely love and accept myself.
Even though I’m just not motivated to do ____________, I choose to do it now.

Focusing on the negative feelings you want to release.

I am not feeling motivated.
I don’t feel like doing it.
Feeling really discouraged.
I just can’t seem to get started.
I am resisting getting started.
I don’t know what to do so I put it off until later.
I’m a little tired so I will wait till later.
I don’t feel motivated.
I want the changes but I am not feeling like doing the work.
I’m tired of thinking about this.
I don’t want to get it going.
Yes I DO want to get it going.
But I am feeling unmotivated.
Releasing the habit of putting things off.
Letting go of the unmotivated feeling.
I am releasing the unmotivated feeling.
Letting go of the unmotivated feeling.
Release and let go of the unmotivation.

Switching to Positive Feelings

I can shift this mood anytime and I choose to shift it now.
I choose to feel motivated.
I am feeling motivated.
I choose to get moving.
I step into energy and motivation.
I am moving forward one step at a time.
I feel good moving forward.
I am moving forward a little more each day.
I feel more and more motivated with each step I take.
I enjoy taking action.
I choose to be joyful, energized and motivated.
I AM joyful, energized and motivated.
I am accomplishing my goals in a calm and confident way!
I am making a total transformation.
I love transformation.

If you need, keep tapping through until you feel ready to stop. You can use whatever words feel right to you and whatever oil you are drawn do use.

There are a lot of things that can disrupt a good night’s sleep. This is especially true during busy stressful times of the year. Tight schedules, rushing here and there to get things done, people are stressed out in general these days. After a busy day running around, you have tense muscles and to top it off, these stressful, busy days are the times when you may grab quick foods that aren’t the best option. All of this can interfere with a good night’s sleep.

We have all the felt the effects of sleep deprivation: that zombie-like feeling that consumes us the moment we roll out of bed. Our eyes are heavy, we can’t think straight, everything in a blur. Like mechanical robots, we go about our day not fully comprehending what is going on around us.

The negative effects of sleep deprivation are quickly becoming an alarming issue. According to a recent poll, 58 percent of adults in the US experience sleep problems several nights a week.

Sleep-deprived individuals find it hard to concentrate or feel productive during the day. Perhaps worst of all, more and more are driving drowsy. In fact, the US National Highway Traffic Safety Administration estimates that 100,000 of reported crashes occur as a result of drowsiness.

Getting a good night’s sleep is important for mental health and normal functioning, but it’s pertinent for maintaining a healthy lifestyle.

Here are some natural tips for a good night’s sleep during stressful times:

Keep your bedtime routine consistent.

Remove televisions, computers, phones, and unnecessary lighting.

Eliminate Caffeine and Sugar after 12 noon.

Add essential oils to your routine. Here are a few ideas:

Take a Lavender Bath – a few drops of Young Living St. Marie’s Lavender essential oil in your tub!

Put essential oils on your feet before you go to sleep. I keep RutaVaLa, Cedarwood and Lavender essential oils next to my bed so I can apply before I go to sleep.

Ruta is an oil that Gary discovered and distilled in Ecuador. VaLa stands for Valerian and Lavender. So RutaVala is a combination of Ruta, VALERIAN, and Lavender in a super awesome blend!
RutaVala 5ml, Order Code: 3419

I am so impressed with the oil blend RutaVala. If you haven’t tried it yet, I really encourage you to do so. RutaVaLa supports relaxation of the body and mind. It is wonderful for supporting a good night’s sleep. I keep a bottle of it next to my bed and use before bedtime or if I wake up in the night and can’t get back to sleep.

Gary recommended applying RutaVaLa on the brainstem is a good place to put the oil. This is the back of the neck, on the soft spot before base of skull (hits neurotransmitters) It is so calming and relaxing.

How to Use RutaVala:
-l5-20 drops in water or empty capsules. (although some people feel effect with just 2 to 3 drops in water)
-bottom of feet
-back of neck
-breathe
-put on temples
–Use with raindrop, massage, auricular application.

Layering the essential oils of Raindrop Technique on the bottom of your feet before bed time can be a nice support for restful sleep.

Since you end up going 6–8 hours without any liquid at all, drinking water throughout the day and before you hit the sack is essential to keeping yourself hydrated. Try adding Young Living Lavender Vitality essential oil to your water or herbal tea for a calming influence. Aim for an hour before bed, so you aren’t waking up in the middle of the night for a bathroom trip.

Young Living Sleep Essential Oils

Take Young Living SleepEssence 30-60 minutes before bed time. SleepEssence combines Lavender, Vetiver, Ruta and Valarian essential oils with melatonin to support a good night’s sleep.

Make a Relaxation Roll-On:

Mix 25 drops each of Valerian, Vetiver, Cedarwood, and Geranium essential oil in an empty 15-ml bottle, then fill it to the top with V-6 Vegetable Oil Complex or other carrier oil, then add the roller top. You can buy roller tops from Young Living. AromaGlide Roller Fitment (ITEM # 4578)

Diffuse Young Living Lavender, Stress Away, or your favorite blend of essential oils with comforting aromas as you prepare for bed. Rubbing a couple drops between your palms and brushing them over your pillow can also boost the relaxing aromas and can make jumping into a cloud of pillows and blankets feel extra luxurious.

Diffuse your favorite Valerian infused essential oil blend in the evening before retiring for bed.
Here is a diffuser blend I love:
4 drops Valerian
3 drops Lavender
3 drops Tangerine

Treat yourself to a soothing massage with Valerian essential oil after an exhausting workout or a long day at work. Valerian’s grounding aroma is also perfect for relaxing while you massage sore muscles, achy feet, or a tight neck.

Marjoram is an wonderful essential oil for relaxing muscles – and relaxing the brain. Apply 1-2 drops over the brainstem (the soft semi-circle at the base of the skull in the middle at the back) and on the temples and cup hands over nose, inhaling deeply 6-8 times.

Make a home made linen Spray by combining water and a few drops of your favorite calming essential oil in a glass spray bottle. Spray over sheets. Lavender, Peace & Calming, Tranquil are a few possibilities.

Add some relaxing oils to your nightly moisturizing routine. Combine Valerian with your favorite skin-care products for a natural yet bold scent.

Add one drop of Cedarwood and one drop of Valerian oil to a pump of body cream before applying to dry areas of the body.
Create a homemade dry-skin face serum with one drop each of Valerian, Rosemary, and Lavender, and a few drops of jojoba—or your favorite light carrier oil. Rub into your face at night to help alleviate dry skin.

Relaxing Whipped Body Butter

1 cup organic coconut oil
1 cup organic solid cocoa butter (do not use lotion)
15 drops of your favorite essential oil – Cedarwood, Lavender, Frankincense, Valarian, Tangerine, Peace & Calming, Tranquil are a few possibilities.

Warm a medium-sized saucepan over medium heat, then add coconut oil and cocoa butter. Melt until completely liquefied, about 4–5 minutes.
Pour into a glass mixing bowl and place in refrigerator for 30–45 minutes to cool and just set but not harden.
Stir in essential oils.

Lavender Cedarwood Essential Oils Sleep

We live in a fast paced and stressful world on normal days but there are times when it seems the stress levels are cranked up. Too many demands on our physical, mental and emotional selves can drain our energy. Essential oils can be a big help during those busy, stress filled times of year. Here are 3 essential oil blends from Young Living that you should have on hand during stressful seasons.

Young Living Essential Oils For Stress
Young Living’s Stress Away essential oil blend has stress-reducing and relaxing properties that are very helpful during stressful times.

Rub a few drops onto your wrists for a calming perfume.

Rub a little Stress Away on your temples and the back of your neck to ease tension.

Diffuse Stress Away for a calming atmosphere.

Add 10 drops of Stress Away to 2 cups of epsom salt for a relaxing warm bath and soak for 20 minutes to relieve stress.

Young Living Stress AwayTry Stress Away Roll-On To Reduce Emotional Eating

With all the stress we face every day we can easily find ourselves feeling bad and reaching for a snack. Do you ever find yourself falling into a habit of emotional eating to deal with the stress?

I learned something interesting a while back that helped make a connection in my brain. Stress raises cortisol levels. We knew that but here’s the thing I didn’t realize: When your cortisol level is high, you start craving carbs.

    Here’s another interesting thing . . .

Did you know that eating sugar and starchy carbs raise your cortisol levels even higher?

So as cortisol goes up, it increases carb cravings, and after indulging in starchy or sugary carbs, guess what else follows suit with it? You start feeling emotionally crappy because you indulged. This contributes to the vicious cycle of emotional eating. Stress Away is especially useful to help with stress related eating. Another reason to use Stress Away during stressful times.

White Angelica is an excellent blend to support your energy field from all of the bombardment of chaotic energy. This oil helps protect you from negative energy. It is calming and soothing and brings a feeling of protection and security. White Angelica is a good one for times when you are going to be around a lot of people who may have negative energy. It is a good one for health practitioners, therapists, social workers, coaches, etc. Also good to use before family gatherings. It’s also great for times when you are stuck at home with a bunch of stressed out people. 😉

How to use: For topical or aromatic use. Diffuse or wear in your diffuser jewelry, rub on top of shoulders, along spine, on crown of head, wrists, behind ears and on the back of the neck. Put a few drops in our palm, rub in a circular clock-wise motion 3 times to build the energy, then do a “sweep” from head to toe, front and back, then down the sides. This creates a protective shield around the body. This can be useful for everyone at any time, but is especially valuable for practitioners who work with those who are ill or carry negative energy.

Joy essential oil is a blend of Young Living’s most inviting oils, formulated to invite a sense of romance, bliss, and warmth. It is very mood uplifting. Joy oil has Ylang Ylang, Geranium, Jasmine, Palmarosa, and Rose essential oil, giving it a fresh, floral aroma with notes of citrus from the essential oils of Bergamot, Lemon, and Tangerine. Joy essential oil blend is a good one for diffusing or applying topically.

Joy Oil Uses
Apply Joy essential oil blend to your wrists and back of neck before going out the door for a fresh floral fragrance.
Place 2–3 drops on a damp cloth and throw it in the dryer to help freshen your laundry.
Put a few drops in a warm bath for a spa-like experience and to enjoy its relaxing aroma.
Diffuse it to bring an environment of joy throughout your home that is perfect for family gatherings and celebrations.

Joy essential oil blend is balancing, calming, mood uplifting, eases nerves and promotes a feeling of peace. A good one for stressful busy times.

The “Great Day Protocol” that Gary Young gave at a Young Living training many years ago is another favorite.

Great Day Protocol
Valor – rubbed on the bottoms of the feet, or a drop put on one wrist, and I hold the other wrist to it. (This is what I usually do because it’s more convenient.)
Harmony – a single drop, rubbed over the solar plexus area (above the belly button).
Joy – a single drop rubbed over the heart.
White Angelica – a single drop in one hand, rub the hands together, and brush over the head (lightly touching the hair, over the face, onto the shoulders, the chest, brushing all the way down the body, lightly touching the body, right over the clothes, as though applying an “angelic shield.”
